There are a lot of teas that are good.
There are some teas that are interesting.
And then there are the ones that make you stop mid-sip and say:
“Wow… what is this?”
That was my experience with Golden Monkey tea.
It arrived Friday.
By Sunday, at our tea tasting, I had my first cup…
and I’ve been reaching for it ever since.
What Makes Golden Monkey Tea Different
Golden Monkey is a premium Chinese black tea made from young buds and tender leaves, known for its beautiful golden tips and smooth character.
But what makes it stand out isn’t just how it looks—it’s how it tastes.

A Smooth Black Tea with a Fruity Twist
I expected bold.
I expected strong.
What I didn’t expect was this:
A soft, slightly fruity aroma as it steeps
A naturally smooth, mellow body
Notes of honey, cocoa, and light fruit
A clean finish with no bitterness
That hint of fruit adds a brightness you don’t usually find in black tea.
It’s subtle—but it’s enough to make you pause and take another sip.
Why I Keep Reaching for It
Some teas you enjoy once and move on.
This one? I keep going back to.
It’s:
Smooth enough for everyday drinking
Flavorful without being overwhelming
Comforting, with just enough complexity
It’s the kind of tea you don’t have to think about—you just make another cup.

Perfect for Beginners and Tea Lovers Alike
If you’re new to loose leaf tea, Golden Monkey is an easy place to start.
If you already love tea, you’ll appreciate the balance of smoothness, depth, and that unexpected fruity note.
How to Brew Golden Monkey Tea
Western Style:
Use 5–7g per 8 oz of water at 195–205°F. Steep for 3–5 minutes.
Gongfu Style:
Use short steeps (10–20 seconds) and enjoy multiple infusions.
You’ll notice the flavor evolve with each pour.
Final Thoughts
Out of all the teas I’ve tried recently, this is the one that made me pause.
Smooth.
Slightly fruity.
Easy to love.
And honestly… it’s the one I can’t stop drinking.
From Tea-Licious
At Tea-Licious, I don’t bring in teas just to sell them.
I bring in teas that I personally connect with.
Golden Monkey is one of those.
And once you taste it…
you’ll understand why.
